WHAT IS RPET?
General polyester is extracted from the oil, but RPET yarn from discarded PET bottles(for example:plastic bottles, coco-cola bottles etc). The term “RPET” stands for “recycled polyethylene terephthalate,” which is the material that is produced when plastic bottles are recycled. It is a new type green recycle fabric by using PET bottle recycled fiber to decrease environment pollution. It creates a new concept in the field of regeneration, just because its low carbon functionality of raw materials.
The process of making RPET involves collecting and sorting used PET plastic containers, cleaning and shredding them, and then melting and reforming them into new products.
